No, I was just answering the poster who said I would get absolutely nothing.

That sounds like a price increase brought on by higher demand, not inflation. If I were to buy beef at a higher price, I would expect higher quality. We’re paying more for beef now and it’s the same quality as in previous years. That’s inflation.
Fair point but it's not a tax. And what it is caused by is Biden's policies, but also some of Trump's policies, and Obama's and Bush's, etc.

Not true, I can send my kids to community college for free if his policies work instead of having to pay for it.

One of my biggest fears. I saved, saved, saved all my life working two jobs to put as much into my 401K's as possible. Without it, I could be facing tough times ahead.

I’m of the mindset that every successful business is better overall for society than ANY tax they might pay.

Only the intelligent know this. Unfortunately no democrat does and just loves the beating of the drums Corporations need to pay more.
Really means the working American and small business will pay the most.

In addition to Inflation being a tax. We also pay Sales taxes on most good and services.
That includes food in Alabama. If the cost of everything I buy for my household increases by $20 a week then I am paying $2 more in tax for those same goods.

So, who is going to pay for your kids “free” community college ? And don’t even try to use the “corporations” bs argument.

My brother runs a small corporation (a half dozen restaurants around Chicago, not a chain, just all under one coporaation) and he pays millions a year. Of course he also makes millions a year.
And the idiot socialist completely misses the point, they may remit extra taxes but they dont "pay" for them
Corps don't sit around and be like gee whizz uncle Joe raised taxes we are just going to make less money this year.

This opinion comes from a misunderstanding of the way things are priced. Goods are priced to value. Corporations don’t decide how much money they will make. It is decided by the market (in the absence of regulation).
What you say is true for inelastic goods (necessities), but not for other goods. Taxing corporations will not significantly increase the price of luxury items, but it will reduce corporate profit on those items.
Tax revenue has to come from somewhere. Corporate tax breaks result in workers paying more. This is detrimental to the middle class. If you think the benefit to the economy is worth taxing the workers, then you are either brainwashed or not middle class.
Or, we can just keeping adding to the national debt, which is what will really destroy America.
FWIW, I am a single issue voter at all levels of government. I vote for whichever candidate I think will balance the budget. It is something neither party seems to care about anymore.

The only way to make money will be to work for the government. Or have their permission.

i don't care. make it easier for small businesses to compete. I'll pay more for goods and services if it gets rid of corporations that support trannies and blm

I understand your thought process but you missed the point of the taxation. If the govt raises a corporate tax in an industry, it does react as if it is a regulated industry (albeit self regulated). You will see all companies within that industry raise their prices to reflect the new tax.
I know I know there are laws ie Robinson Pattman etc to prevent price collusion......when is the last time you saw a corporation thrown in jail for price fixing. If the govt was serious all of Pharma would be in prison decades ago, along with all the energy companies and half the consumer product companies.
