My guess many are stuck in their jobs as they are too close to the number of years they need to get their retirement pensions. Someone else on the board will have to clarify but if they moved to a different state wouldn’t their retirement pension have to restart? Seems like that are in an almost no win situation.

I've considered it, but my Chief, City Manager, and City Council have been nothing short of spectacular. While there will always be shitbirds in any city, our citizens are overwhelmingly supportive of us and reward us by making us one of the highest paid agencies in the entire state, giving us pretty good benefits, and giving us excellent equipment and training. My only concern is the County D.A. Once cops start getting railroaded, I'm out regardless of how good my city is.

Why????? Chauvin deserved some sort of consequence. Maybe not all three counts but he eaned his stay in prison and to suggest otherwise borders on the nonsensical.
