Doesn’t matter much what it means if the shift is that large. I just want to know the source.

I sense that it is true. Today’s evangelicals sold out to politics. It’s part of my disdain for organized religion for the most part. I don’t care if you are left or right. Church shouldn’t be political.

As someone coming from the opposite spectrum. Black Protestant. I whole heartedly agree.

Too many people try to cater their religion to politics not realizing they have become blind to the corruption on both sides.

Gotta fight fire with fire. These commie bastards will squash anyone in their way. Now that evangelicals aren't taking shite anyone, they are being attacked for playing the game just like leftists do. Leftists don't like when you match their tactics, see PRESIDENT Donald J Trump

The proposed Republican tax bill allows preachers to preach politics from the pulpit.

Roy Moore said that he is against ‘immoral acts.’ I was wondering the same thing.

Evangelical used to be a religious movement. Today it’s completely political

Atheist here... Evangelicals would rather for for a conservative with questionable personal ethics over a liberal that they feel will forward the greater cultural shift away from tradtional American values... tranny bathroom rights, the removal of religious symbols from public spaces, more collectivist vs individual liberty, the promotion of laizzes fare immigration of people who likely won't assimilate culturally, gun control, abortion rights, the war on American history as evil, racist, the whole Social Justice/Race/Gender Identitiy political movement.

End of the day, not just evangelicals, but pretty much anyone who leans right of center has seen the Democratic/Liberal/Progressive vision for America and reject it fully, regardless of how flawed the Repubican candidate may be. Especially in the case where the power of the senate hangs in the balance.

I am a lifelong Republican who has voted mostly straight ticket for over 25 years. I did vote for JBE for Governor because of Vitters character, and as a protest of Bobby Jindal's abysmal record. I felt I was ok doing that given the strong legislative majorities in both houses. Also, JBE is pro second Amendment.

I think Roy More is a complete loon and I wish he'd step aside, but I couldn't vote for a Dem ever in a national election (president, congress, senate) because I know what that would mean big picture as far as policy and judicial implications are concerned.

Well, white means Christian terrorist whenever there's a mass shooting. Doesn't matter if the perpetrator isn't religious, liberals just claim he's a Christian terrorist.

Worst catholic ever...worst Christian ever.

Preacher man on the TV
Putting down the rock and roll
Wants me to send a donation
Cuz he’s worried bout my soul
Jesus walked on the water
And I know that is true
Sometimes I think that ole preacher man
Wants to do a little walking too.

CDB got all this a long time ago.
