The explosion wasn't an attack.
Could Lebanon be using fireworks to cover for munitions that were on fire? Sure, but the explosion was the ammonium nitrate and secondary.

Sorry, but Trump is right. It DOES look like an attack. Visually, that's what it LOOKS like.
He's not saying he thinks it WAS.
Once again, folks need to stop taking him literally but still take him seriously.

Why not? There are far more examples of industrial accidents like this than there are attacks like this. This is kind of a known thing with ammonium nitrate.

Slackster if he was indeed told by some military advisors then it isn't his fault. Is he prone to stupid outbursts? Yes. But he's also had instances of listening to groups that were themselves right or wrong.

This is the answer IMO
The only "attack" scenario that makes sense to me is some sort of sabotage or the like on a munitions cache (probably by Israel) that just happened to create a catastrophic and soon-to-be-historic event. The premise seems plausible, it not exactly likely. But it would be one hell of a confluence of circumstances.

I don't know if it was an attack or not but there is a video circulating that appears to be something (drone) that hit just before the explosion happened. And yes, I do know there is something called photoshop too.

I'm squarely in the Trump camp. I'm not worried about anyone in that camp either.
However, college educated white women will make or break Trump this go around, and they're a finicky bunch. Trump knows better.
