I wish there was perfect technology for this but unfortunately you can’t trust anything. If we could vote via phone and legislation we wouldn’t need 535 congressional leeches as our representation.

I wish it was that simple, but it isn't. Your statement of simplicity, which I applaud- don't get me wrong, if applied across the spectrum would fix so much with voting... both real and perceived.
My personal belief is voting is one of those things that falls under the category of being both a duty and a right. And a right isn't a right unless you claim it. There should be a level of burden to vote. I think in-person (with legit exceptions) should be one of those burdens.
Just like you shouldn't be a juror over zoom, you should vote in-person is my personal belief. But IF they would employ higher standards for voting in combination with the use of technology I can see a legit argument. But we have constantly drifted the other way. The ID argument and the voting rights act is a prime example. The standards required to watch p0rn online (in some states) or buy tobacco is higher than that of voting.

So with all the evidence pointing to Trump actually doing that in 2020, all the people indicted for it and admitting to the scheme, Trump calling multiple states telling them to "find" votes, a frickin insurrection during the certification, all of that is not considered something to be punished by death.
But just because Trump said it was stolen, went to court 60+ times without presenting a single bit of evidence, lost all of them or they got tossed because it was literally based on nothing. Now in his 2nd term, still hasn't presented a drop of proof that it was stolen. He's in power, stealing an election is definitely a criminal charge. Why is Biden not indicted?
So if Trump literally can't prove that it was stolen, you want the opposing party hung JUST BECAUSE TRUMP TOLD YOU IT HAPPENED?

Democrats won't allow that when it comes to voting, so fukkoff. Any scheme that Democrats come up with with regards to voting is immediately suspect, since they won't allow proper vetting of the current voting system.
