Should Mr. Garner's police record be considered when determining that the police were justifed in arresting him? It appears that he was very well known by the police and his history when they decided to do so.

Street thug Eric Garner had at least eight domestic incident reports filed against him, including several for unwanted sexual touching.

One of them even involved throwing his newborn grandchild and his daughter out of his car, NYPD sources told Gotnews.com.

"Under New York law domestic incident reports are filed whenever the police are forced to respond to a domestic altercation. No charges may be filed by the victim but police are still duty bound to report and catalog it."

Funny how it's almost never the pillars of the community who get into these incidents, isn't it?

Policemen are so fortunate that they get to deal with these saints.

They may have been justified in arresting him, but they could have gone about it without choking him out.

And his previous record is irrelevant in this instance.

NYPD sources
So, having not got much traction with their ~30 ARRESTS~ [for incredibly petty crimes] [and no convictions] talking point, the NYPD is now tattling to the #TCOT sewer main about uncorroborated "reports" which may or may not be absolute flights of fancy?

He must be white because only white people could do all of that and still be on the streets.

My point is he should have been arrested. The choke hold should not have been used since it is not policy, but regardless, it was not racially motivated ("Black lives matter").

I think he would have died in just about any struggle based on his poor health. But he was healthy enough to sexually molest and throw babies out of a car.

What a garbage website...and, as I see it, if you've ever had trouble with the law in the past you're fair game for assault and asphyxia. Got it.

Why does everything have to be so absolute? Can't it be that the cops were justified in an arrest but not justified in the use of force?

Yeah that mayor whose house was raided and his dogs killed when the cops got address wrong. He was a real TPOS all right LINK

As well as the 18 month old who had his face blown off by a stun grenade. He was gonna be a terror to the community once he learned to walk. I won't bother linking that one. Maybe you've heard of it.

If you don't hold law enforcement to a standard when dealing with Everyone, pretty soon they won't be held to a standard when dealing with Anyone. As we've seen over and over.
