As someone who has a sister who pastors a UCC church, this is pretty much exactly what it is. It’s a social club. I think many of the adherents have a vestigial tail of religion or some itch they can’t scratch without the form of religion. But there’s certainly no “power thereof.”
It's odd to me. For clergy, I feel like for some of them it's just basically a paid steady position with a political advocacy group where they can garner a little more respect and life security than they can as a BLM street captain.

Its all about purging the white race at this point
I want to see the look on their faces when they find out its their turn to go

Tell me how a govt agency under the guise of a Church has tax exempt status?
This is what Trump is best at. He gets the nutjobs to leave their grift voluntarily

Its actually a thing of beauty

quote:I know a couple that just joined the Episcopal Church. They are in their early 70's and have been Methodists their whole lives. They quit being Methodist over their church not being all in on everything homosexual. Now that they are Episcopalian, they have a gay woman priest who leads their congregation.
In Alabama they are hemorrhaging members. In 25 years there won’t be many left.
Politics over scripture.

Well said.

One of the few places on Earth that, because of your skin color, you are forced to take drastic measures to ensure that you are not killed while you sleep.
Why?

When you consider that some of these organizations (probably UMC, PCUSA, TEC in that order) still have millions of faithful folks and some quite orthodox congregations, it's bizarre that the same national orgs are overseeing both legitimate, orthodox churches on one hand, and on the other, essentially gathering places for ANTIFA
That said, I know first hand that a some mainline congregations have essentially reached a MAD stalemate with the national bodies such that they just leave each other alone. Unfortunately, you have to be pretty big and wealthy to do that effectively (and most big, wealthy mainline churches are too PR sensitive to take any bold stances).

Really a simple explanation.........USAId type resettlement programs lost 100 % of their funding to NGO's last month. The activist dudes packing up the office try to hit moral high ground by declaring its a white boogie man thing.
The Episcopal church is generally aligned with doing good works.

"Don't agree....." ? Don't keep up with the latest in international news, do you? The whites in that country are the blueprint for seeking asylum for persecution.

Racists and non-Christians. And all because the refugees are white.
