'Experts' now say the bottleneck will last well into 2022. Things are setting up nicely for Mid-term election.
The problem is worse now after ButtPlug came back from Chest Feeding.

quote:

This Tuesday, there were 77 container ships waiting, while 25 were berthed.

In other words, the number of container ships waiting in line has increased 28% since Biden bragged about his action to “speed up shipments.” And two fewer were loading or unloading cargo than a month ago.

Because no one in control knew or cared what the actual problem was.

The problem isn’t the ships or the cranes, it is trucks and containers.

Newsom’s truck rules and Covid rules limited the number of trucks removing cargo from the docks while the metro laws on stacking containers are preventing trucks from removing empties to go get more cargo off the ships.

This is all on CA’s insane green laws.
&
They want the whole country to have the same laws. It will destroy us. We will starve.

Not yet. The regulations you’ve referenced aren’t even in effect yet. They won’t be until 2023. So if you are feeling the pinch now you should really take a hard look at things could be in a little over a year.

quote:

Diesel-fueled trucks transporting cargo destined for or coming from California’s ports and intermodal rail yards (including bobtails and transporting chassis) must be registered in the statewide Drayage Truck Registry prior to entry. Drayage fleets must comply with requirements by operating only vehicles with 2007 MY engines or newer. By January 1, 2023, all class 7 and 8 diesel-fueled drayage trucks must have 2010 or newer engines. Trucks with 2010 or newer engines are fully compliant with both the Truck and Bus and Drayage regulations. The exchange of marine or rail cargo (e.g. containers) between compliant and noncompliant drayage trucks is not allowed anywhere in California.

Why hasn’t the House called hearings about this? Why isn’t Pete meeting with trucking companies, rail lines, terminal operators. If the current administration actually cared they could solve this problem.

The problem with our “technocrat” overlords is that they have no real knowledge of how to do anything. They’re politicians disguised as experts.

Pete couldn’t run a machine shop, let alone the logistics of a major port.

The obvious loophole I see to this stupidity is “Can they offload the containers to non-compliant trucks in Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, or Mexico?”

I think this was Trump's plan that they modified again so it wasn't Trump's plan. They can't go back now because if this doesn't work they will remodify Trump's plan again just to make sure that plan doesn't work before they move on to the next hairbrained plan.

I suspect that Joe is going to run out of options before he resorts to his last ditch effort to fix the problem and that is appointing Mitch Landrieu to oversee it all.

The top dogs that "own" the supply chain, such as the owners of the ports and shipping companies, have no incentive to make it better. They have jacked up prices and they make more now and have not had to change anything. The Marxists know this and don't care. They did this as part of the "theater" we are watching to make it look sincere.

Bottom line is the US is a ship and it's sinking and we are all on it. Only the Marxists in DC are not on it, they have their own separate ship where they are not sinking and watching us squirm in their sociology experiment. FBI is openly raiding people that have done nothing wrong, stealing elections, circumventing the Bill of Rights by imprisoning people by not giving them due process....This country is fricked and it's done on purpose.

They are pushing until either A) cave and just give in to their control or B) fight back and give them the excuse to bring in military to take control by force. It will be the cover they are looking for just like wuflu was another layer of cover to take freedoms from Americans..."look, we have to send in the military. White supremacists are causing insurrections". At that point, if it comes to that point, they will keep the strangle hold of force over Americans for ever. No one will be able to fight back after that.
