You do realize JD Vance was hand picked by Elon right?

Trump Jr likely had much more to do with that.

I can guarantee you he had MUCH more to do with it than Elon.

Elon will never accept that politics is hard and Trump is much better at it than he is.

Pretty common with autistic people only seeing things as black or white. Gray areas are hard for them and unfortunately it is mostly gray in politics.

I don’t disagree with Elon in principle, but unfortunately in politics you have to make some concessions.

This sounds like something the most loyal MAGA guys would have jumped all over until very recently.

I'm with you, it's a mess, it's hard, you have to compromise according to conventional wisdom. Perhaps you have to compromise regardless. But that's not really what MAGA was ever about, and all along establishment folks said these things and were berated and put aside (which I don't disagree with, mind you).

Now, you've got the idealist, "make it happen, why can't we just do ______" Elon saying all the stuff MAGA/Trump said for a decade, and that puts him on the opposite side as Trump now.

If Trump had lost, he and his companies would be in a world of shite because the democrats would use every tool in the government yo go after Elon.

That is a theory of a possible outcome. You have no substance to back up that would have happened.

Elon's net worth was $188 billion at beginning of Biden's term. It grew over $100 billion under Biden.

What companies would they decimate? They tried as much as possible to destroy Tesla with Trump elected, what more would they have done.

Would the US government quit using SpaceX for political reasons, that is a giant stretch that would even anger people on the left. There is no replacement for what SpaceX can do at low cost.

Elon's net worth would be roughly the same if Harris was elected. Could have been even higher since the Tesla public backlash would not have materialized and EV would be #1 priority.

Elon needs to chill the F out until the senate makes their changes. He is probably on some adderall filled tweet storm. It is funny because Trump and Elon have very similar personalities. I’m surprised Trump hasn’t gone off. He has mellowed in his old age.

I’m old enough to remember everyone loving Trump because he was an outsider and not a politician.

This was always going to fall apart given the two egos involved. Hopefully Elon can let it go and just run his companies and not be involved for the other side in 2028

No he didn't. Trump is and has always been peace through strength.

That was and always has been a part of his platform.

Name the war he started? Come on now............

Just because you are at odds with a group with the issue of starting a war does not mean you can't side with that same group on other issues. I really shouldn't have to explain that simple concept.

sad to see so many on this board siding with Elon and turning on Trump this easily. I voted for Trump, not this opportunistic South African. What’s Elon’s plan to reduce the deficit by the way?

I think people are siding with the 2016 Trump attitude (represented by Elon) more than Elon himself
