I feel bad for Elon. He put it all on the line to truly try and help fix the problem but the DC machine was just too powerful.

Now, as soon as the Dem regain control of the House, they will be coming for him guns a blazing.

I’m sure he regrets ever getting involved in politics

Musk knew what he was signing up for

DOGE is a government expenditure auditing and operations fractal mapping exercise, it is phase one of a multiple phase process

Musk rolled DOGE out, implemented it, was the face of it which legitimized it, took the MSM body blows and is now leaving because his role in being Johnny Appleseed is done

the DOGE team stays behind and continues their mission, next phase is system rehabilitation and reform

Little surprised it imploded as fast as it did but this was the only way it was ever gonna end.

Yep, Musk is a futurist (idealist) and Trump lives 100 years in the past.

Its a marriage made in hell.

He just posted this in the Ukraine bill thread. He's broken.
quote:

I think trump has cooked the Republican Party

No resolution on Ukraine
Funding for Ukraine
Huge bill with pork spending
No doge cuts
No criminal action/ arrests
Messy executive orders allowing courts to handcuff

There are other issues - his success is illegal immigration but even that is moving slowly.

Congress will do nothing all summer and take long thanksgiving and Christmas breaks and then it's campaign season.

I'm disappointed that my hopes for a few things to be accomplished are going down the drain and the fear is nothing by election time and the further decline of the country.

The BBB is Trump's baby. Has Elon called out Trump specifically on it?

I'm going to guess Elon avoids doing so and instead portrays it as a great Trump led effort corrupted by Congress.
