Men don't think paying for your kids college and the college for kids that aren't yours should be something the government should do.
Shitpost away. I love you.

The government is going to pay for this how?

That's funny coming from you.
I do love your use of the tired prog tactic of claiming that people that disagree with just are incapable of getting it.
You think it's wise to bail out a bunch of people that made poor decisions. I disagree.
Now let it fly, pussy.

Either way, you’re awesome, and I love you.

So let’s penalize the STEM degree holder, while Cynthia, working as a lead Barista at Starbucks, gets her loan on her women and gender studies degree forgiven by $50K? Wow, just wow

Yes taxes good answer. So how many military members do you think are rich? Military soldiers, airman, sailors and marines don't get that money. It's defense contractors who promise all kinds of equipment and tech. Tons of wasteful spending every year. Never delivers a great product and always trying to find ways to get more money from the gov cause they know there are people who think like you. Every one wants a military but the spending budget is out of control. And you're right. It didn't cost that much to take online or proctored courses. Why raise tuition on paying students when someone gets a grant or has it subsidized? That's on the university not managing its finances correctly. You should be angry at schools for raising tuition costs.... And yes everyone should take a economics class it would help.

Brilliant!
We should just cancel our national debt as well!

Actually.. I want to bail out people who, around the time they graduated highschool, were pushed into giant loans that can't be discharged.
Our elected officials failed to to implement measures to control the exploding costs of attendance that they enabled and failed to ensure that potential borrowers were provided accurate information by universities (they were misrepresenting facts/lying to prospective students).
It's a problem that was created by the parents and grandparents of the people struggling.. so I see no problem with requiring them to take on a share of the burden as a consequence of their inability to govern.

were pushed into giant loans that can't be discharged.
When I was a student you had to ASK for the loans and fill out multiple applications. And you had to sign off on paperwork that explained the terms.
Maybe it’s changed since then? Please explain. Do the loans just magically appear on your tuition bill without anyone knowing?
And if there people forcing loans onto others (who were they?) why aren’t those people being forced to pay?

May 1st is typically the last day for enrollment at universities.. called 'National College Decision Day'. Kids don't graduate until mid/late May or June.
The largest/2nd largest financial decision of their life is being pushed on kids while they are still in high school. Not to mention signing forms, applying for schools, etc. while they are actually at school
Terrible system designed to prey on children.

If they don’t have a parent with any financial acumen at all, I somewhat agree with you. But the answer isn’t forgiving debt they signed up for and about which they were given education before committing to the loan.

quote:Those "children" are plenty old enough to make a decision. If they are incapable of handling their finances, how the hell are they going to survive living away from their parents? The idea that 18 year-olds are to gullible to understand what a loan is is... silly.
Terrible system designed to prey on children.
If they can't understand what a loan is... should they be in an academic environment of "higher learning"?

I’m sure bmy would tell us they are old enough to get an abortion, protest the government and vote. But not old enough to be responsible for a loan.

You don’t have to go straight into college if you’re not sure you are ready. And at what point should people finally begin transitioning into adulthood and make decisions that affect their own wellbeing?
