there is no reason all votes from fair and free elections cant be 100% counted and settled in 5-6 hours after polls closed on election night.
it only takes longer if you are manufacturing and adding new fraudulent votes to change the results from that election.
its not the "new normal" to take a week to count the votes, its cheating

I agree and can't imagine why any reasonable person would not. Unless that person has nefarious intentions regarding the manufacture of fraudulent ballots.

It takes a few days to mysteriously find enough votes to let Democrat nominees overcome the lead their Republican opponents have, and win.

Absentee votes take longer to count. They have to be transported, opened and authenticated.
And in spite of requests, Repub legislators in many cases wouldn't allow for absentee ballots to be processed before Election Day as part of the Trump Plan B. In case Trump lost the election, he could claim manufactured votes and election fraud based on delayed counting alone, without any evidence of election fraud.
Sound familiar?

Every county should announce results at the same time, say 8am next morning. That eliminates creating just enough votes to win in Dem precincts.

Also scanning in fake ballots is time consuming. They don't scan themselves ya know. But damn, I have to come up with a better BS story than the water main break this time! Almost got my robust arse sent down the creek for that weak arse excuse!

The problem is that different states have different rules regarding mail in voting and absentee ballots. Most states have postmark date deadlines for any mail in and absentee ballots. This is due to the different delivery times for various mail systems. The only solution to this is having Federally mandated voting rules, that all states have to adhere to.
