Only very dumb Americans whose entire exposure to European elections comes from random blue checks didn’t see this coming. RN never had a real path to a majority this election.

Are you confused what "majority" means?
Reminder, in this discussion tree, you negatively commented on this post:

It also allows constituencies to actually elect a representative with 50% + 1 of the vote.

Majority of the people engaged on the political process, it seems pretty clear to me.

The center and left parties dropped out of the runoffs to allow this to happen. It’s tactical voting, not stealing.
A candidate making a deal with an opposing party to drop out is rigging an election no matter how you spin it. It's antithetical to the principles of "democracy."

If the the people of a country choose to not participate, it is their own deal, the people voting and gaining a majority of the vote, should win and get control of their government, a one round vote should be the universal way to declare a winner.
This doesn’t make any sense in the context of this conversation. They have more than two parties. The large majority of French who voted in round one didn’t vote for the winner in their respective constituency.
Advocating for plurality elections is bizarre to me.

No, it isn’t. You don’t like the result, but it isn’t “rigging”.
Coalitions have been a part of democracy for its entire existence as a system of government.

You either believe in elections, or you don't, one shot and you accept the results, any thing beyond that, is manipulation.

According to who? The French have two-round elections.
You realize that Louisiana has/had this too, right?

it is my contention, that one shot elections are the best ones.

So you don't want the representatives forming a republic to represent the majority of voters?

You're advocating for a plurality to rule without a coalition to get a majority in the voting house.
How would your ideal system work?

America had its last election blatantly stolen in the middle of the night and will have the next one stolen even more blatantly
