Alexander the Great and the Ptolemy dynasty saved Egypt from total collapse, of course that was a 1,000 years after the last Pharaohic dynasty even faded into the trash bin of history.
Of course along comes Julius Caesar, Mark Antony, and Cleopatra and the Romans into Egypt…of course that was 50 years before the actual birth of J.C.
