Daniel Edwards should resign regardless of whether or not he is ever arrested. There is no question his department is out of control and he is an inept manager. He may very well be a criminal himself.

The Advocate reported last year that the bureau also is investigating a bail-bond scheme in which several inmates were allegedly allowed to go free without posting their court-ordered bonds.
The Tangipahoa Parish Jail also has generated mounting scrutiny in recent months following the suicide of one inmate and the grisly beating death of another. The latter case was described by one witness as a "shark feeding frenzy" and resulted in 12 inmates being charged with manslaughter.
It's not clear what, exactly, prompted the federal interest in Berwick's death. Edwards, the sheriff, confirmed the FBI served a subpoena at the jail last week for records related to Berwick.

nothing but Trump did meet with JBE this week about prison reform. I wonder if he wants to let out a bunch of prisoners from federal prisons like JBE did from state prisons??

I will give up on talking tariffs here because this crowd is just blind to and ignorant of the dangers of tariffs.
It doesn't matter---if all the proposed tariffs are imposed---only a small fraction of the proposed tariffs have been implemented---you will all see it by the end of the year and hopefully will be smart enough to recognize it. The retaliatory tariffs and the US tariffs will put hundreds of US businesses out of business. The only people that will still like them will be the very few domestic steel manufacturers. They have already gone up on their US customers and will mint money so long as the steel tariffs remain.
I predict they will disappear quietly after the mid-terms---perhaps before if enough businesses complain. oh BTW just for a final word---Ross is corrupt.
