re: Eagles will regret not going to the White House. This move will split their fan base.

frick 'em.

This is deeply disappointing. The prodigious number of former Dawgs who are on the Philly squad makes it super easy to root for them, but this is definitely a setback to being able to support them going forward.

I never understand these decisions. If I had the chance to have that kind of access to the White House, I'd jump at it no matter who is POTUS. I am sure it would make for an amazing day!
Ehhh. I respect the spirit of what you’re saying, but no way would I dignify the administration that was mutilating children’s bodies and convincing 60% of our kids that they’re some degree of fig. Sorry. Clinton? Obama? Sure. I see exactly what Obama was but the Biden regime went too far. Way too fricking far

doubt Hurts is behind this.
Good chance that’s true…However, He’s uniquely poised to go against the grain and set a positive example though.
By that I mean he’s got a lot of respect and accomplishments relatively early in his career. He could set the tone for a return to civility and mutual respect and getting overt politics out of sports…Or he could just let opportunity pass by.
If I were him, I’d reach out to some mentors for advice. Being civil to Trump (and Musk by extension) could pay big dividends down the road, especially after his playing days are over.

Why don’t they come to their senses?
The side effects of Trump Derangement Syndrome include unexpected outbursts of irrational emotion, disappearance of logic, increase in estrogen levels, shrinking testicles, detachment from reality and a high post count on Democratic Underground.
These effects can be negated by deleting Facebook and BlueSky, turning off CNN and MSNBC and Faux News, and eating a good meal of steak and potatoes.

All I know is, Trump was universally cheered at the Super Bowl. A certain component of those cheering were Eagle fans.
Everybody’s talking about the new kid in town.

Why didn't some go and some stay home?
I don't get them going all philly Karen but I guess I'll just wish them the worst these next four years!

More proof that the NFL is Politically biased.

It won't make a difference whatsoever. Philly fans are idiots and won't stop supporting their team.

What's he going to do? Cut them from the team that just dominated the Super Bowl? I'm sure plenty of teams would take them in a heartbeat.

Like I’ve been saying in every Philly rejection thread - they have not been invited. Can’t invite yourself lol

But I think one can obviously presume they would be invited since it's tradition. They still could have had the discussion about whether or not they will go once they official invite comes in.

Man frick Philadelphia that shut shite hole one bridge having city

This is stupid unless literally every single player on the roster agreed, which obviously didn’t happen. Vocal subset of the team probably made this decision and others either couldn’t or didn’t want to speak up in protest. Bummer for anyone who wanted to go and now has to miss out on a once in a lifetime experience.

Expect jersey and merch sales to plummet. Idiots
Probably will plummet for a few months, then the fans will come back. After all, they aren’t going to all of a sudden become cowboys fans.

If not mistaken they refused in 2018 when 45 was in office. My guess is he doesn’t invite them this time.

Well well, what is going on here…….? I cant understand a football team being a bunch of far left ghey socialist tranny luvin loonatics but maybe they are they were the last time they were invited….if they present themselves as far left loonatics they will lose some of their fans……
