I haven’t heard anyone in the NFL come out and defend Drew or agree with his previous stance

I’ve always respected Drew. I really tried to defend him at first. I even called out the fact that he was ambushed after his apology.
Now? He’s just dropping to his knees and kissing the ring.

This disappointed me more than the original apology. He is truly owned. More worried about his future job than his soul. He will be cast off by the people he just knelt to and has pissed off the people he made proud with his original statement. Truly sad to see someone destroy his legacy because of fear. I really hope he doesn’t play next year so I can try and remember the good he did for the state. He is a man on an island now.

It took them 100 years to get around that pesky old Constitution and reinstitute slavery. But they persevered and found a way.

I think I may have to burn my Brees Jersey...I have defended Drew at every turn when folks said he has lost a step due to age but this is different.
I have lost all respect for him. The only way I may ever gain an ounce of respect for him would be if he reversed his stance and actually stood up against the SJW bullies.
However I'm not gonna hold my breath...guess I better grab the lighter fluid and matches.

Read the entire thread up to this point. Disappointed in a lot of posters in here. Especially the frick Drew crowd. Look I’m disappointed that he caved and changed his stance on the issue. But I feel sorry for him also because the past two days he has been torn to pieces by the media and athletes from all over. He has been basically bullied into three apologies and I couldn’t be more disgusted with those that did this. I’ll always love Drew for all he has has done for me as a football fan and will always respect what he has done for humanity.
