Decreasing Housing Costs for the American People
?Key Points:
?Lowering Mortgage Rates: Directs the USDA and VA to reduce mortgage rates on single-family loans.
?Easier Refinancing: Reduces or eliminates Loan-Level Price Adjustments (LLPAs) for eligible refinances.
?Slashing Red Tape & Fees:
?Waives home appraisals, income re-verification, and extra documentation for rate-and-term refinances.
?Cuts friction and costs associated with cancelling mortgage insurance (requires servicers to proactively notify borrowers when cancellation is available).
?Title Insurance Overhaul: Authorizes FHFA Director Bill Pulte to expand the Title Insurance Waiver program nationwide (removing geographic limits, opening it to borrowers with <20\% equity, and certifying more providers).
?.
And despite everyone foreclosing and not one single home selling because of rates, according to a certain poster, home values rose in Oct and are on pace for about 2% according to ICE
I was told this admin wasnt doing anything to lower costs
Cause we know congress isnt doing anything

All of the things that are up in cost are government managed or regulated. Other things are actually down. Anyone pissed about costs needs to go vote red across the board. Complaining will accomplish nothing. Less government involvement is what is needed, and not voting republican will just worsen things for you. Don't be stupid.

“No, really. Trump is going to fix everything. Just vote Republican and after the election, everything will be great.”

Only 53% of voting adults own their homes. Of the other 47%, a large proportion vote democrat or have their votes harvested. That block is voting for government managed programs and don’t care about mortgages. The way they see it is the government can either supply housing or implement rent control on the rich capitalist.

I'm just asking about the leak, as just 5 or 6 days ago at the Arizona rally, DJT told the audience leakers ought to go to jail or be shot

did you read the article or just clip it? did you understand the article at all?
So USDA (RD) loans have over the last 5yrs tightened their guidelines. IE they have reduced the DTI requirement making it harder to qualify for 100% financing because that's the main purpose of an RD loan.
By waiving refinance lenders title insurance that does help with cost of refinancing also when the discuss waiving appraisal that's because Fannie/Freddie UW systems can pick up a value on the home and issue an appraisal waiver. But investor guidelines require appraisals. So waiving that will help with cost.
both of these changes will do nothing to help the housing market at all. Current RD and VA loans are at 7% last Feb they where 5.87% . So you want to help the housing market....stop bombing Iran
FYI i have been a mortgage loan officer for 21yrs...
