As confident as you were that they had Trump...?

Fauci should not temper his honest advice about the disease to cater to Trump’s quirks. His job is to tell the science, the economist tells his side, and Daddy Trump’s job is to synthesize that into his very stable genius brain and make a decision.

And note well that when there's an outbreak of COVID at the White House as there has been this week, they're following the recommendations of the top scientific experts for managing the risk (so infer what you will about why he might tweet at others to "liberate").

Which is why i have problems with him stating no schools in the fall, and we might not have sports. Who made him King? He needs to be removed from his post.

If Daddy Trump feels he’s not getting honest advice from the director of the NIH who has served multiple Presidents then he should remove him from his post.

It’s more likely the scientific process is not absolute and data constantly changes, but if you need to ascribe ulterior motives for the guy who says things you don’t like then who am I to stop you.

The death toll cannot possibly be greater than reported, going by the announced method of assigning deaths to the China Flu. Considering deaths from damn near every other medical issue is down by 60 to 80 percent, deaths by Kung Flu have to be significantly lower than reported. So why is Fauci lying?

Why doesn't Trump have someone with this "theory" testify to your assertions?

Well, for one he didn't say no schools in the fall, so there's that.

They sounded Absolute when they said wearing a mask would do more harm than good..only to completely change course in one month. Everyone has ulterior motives, Fauci is as much politician as he is scientist..it’s the nature of his job in management.

well he's also been getting haircuts, like Trump and our superiors, so let's not pretend they want ALL the rules applied evenly

I didn’t hear the context of his statement but if he’s asked if school and sports are scenarios where it will likely spread and he says yes and his recommendation is to shut it down, I don’t have a problem with that.

Legally, statutorily, he doesn’t have the power to order that but I don’t have a problem with him giving advice to the policy makers that “hey, these things would likely cause a spread of it”. That’s his job.

At some point, we're gonna have to start stuffing these geeks and nerds back into the locker. They've obtained too much market share of the zeitgeist.

Doctors, scientists, technology companies, some lawyers, shitty super hero movies every week and so on and so on.

So by this comment, i take you only make decisions based on the words of others. You make no independent thoughts of your own and apply logic to any subject matter, you simply obey what self proclaimed experts tell you?

Now, a rational logical human will infer that there is no possible way the death toll is greater than what is reported, considering the large number of asymptomatic people, and others who may have had it in the past and recovered. That would skew the current numbers and revise them down. You then couple that with the deaths that happened during the CV outbreak but was not directly due to CV yet was recorded as a CV death.

I know you think this line of thinking is impossible for someone who is not an "expert", but if you stop being lazy for a second, and just try to use your brain for something other than a place holder, you too might be able to think critically at times.

I don’t give a frick what his recommendations are. He’s disease boy. Not social impact and economy boy. You tell us your cute little models for infection and then kindly exit the room.

Exactly. It’s up to the Very Stable Genius to make the final call. Heavy is the head who wears the crown.

The real question is, why aren't my assertions the default position, given what we have been told about how the medical community have counted deaths, and the known precipitous drop in deaths by pneumonia, stroke, heart attack, and the like?

This virus didn't just magically cause people to stop dying from a heart attack, and it didn't make people stop having strokes. So the biggest variable in this situation, is what deaths are being attributed to. We also have tons of anecdotal evidence that hospitals are assigning medical issues to Wuhan Flu for financial purposes.
