Enlighten us, Alan Greenspan. Tell us what Amazon is doing that they need to be punished?

Give us specific tax laws rules and regs that you are talking about being broken. As my knowledge of the tax code can only fill a thimble...I guess?

I'm going to need you to explain your reasoning here.

I'm not saying I am for or against them, but a company that receives the amount of subsidies that Amazon does is not a good example of free market capitalism.

Clearly your reading comprehension is as poor as your knowledge of the Code. I never said Amazon deserved to be punished. I simply stated the fact that your assertion that Amazin is a good example of free market capitalism was an ignorant one. Your post about "loopholes" supports that.

Though, I'm not sure you understand why. I don't think you even understand what you said.

Got it. So you’re “fence sitting”. You’re not really sure what they’re “breaking” but must know it’s happening because Trump says.

Nope. I know where I stand. I just haven't discussed it here. All I have done here is point out your economic ignorance. Moron.

Sounds like it had already interfered, and he's trying to get at least close to even.

From that perspective, I agree. It's no different than what pharma, oil, tobacco, alcohol, etc. have done in the past to get in good with politicians.

I'm not going to blame them for doing what big businesses do however, and I don't feel bad for the mom&popups that don't evolve from brick & mortar.

Explain the code

Your ignorance of the Code aside....the issue of free market capitalism not being applicable is proven by your assertion that Amazon is utilizing the code to its advantage. That is the antithesis of free market capitalism.

And since you cannot seem to differentiate between me calling you a moron and my thoughts on Amazon....I have zero issue with Amazon using the code to its advantage.

Wait wait... opening up the government acquisitions process to competing private companies is now considered a subsidy?! Amazing how this is getting spun into the "Amazon Amendment".

Yes which makes his complaining seem foolish

My guess is he had no clue what he was signing.
