Enlighten us, Alan Greenspan. Tell us what Amazon is doing that they need to be punished?
Give us specific tax laws rules and regs that you are talking about being broken. As my knowledge of the tax code can only fill a thimble...I guess?

Yes Jethro and it's a big hitch in our economy

All this bloviating, yet no actual words addressing your ignorant assertion.

I'm going to need you to explain your reasoning here.
I'm not saying I am for or against them, but a company that receives the amount of subsidies that Amazon does is not a good example of free market capitalism.

Clearly your reading comprehension is as poor as your knowledge of the Code. I never said Amazon deserved to be punished. I simply stated the fact that your assertion that Amazin is a good example of free market capitalism was an ignorant one. Your post about "loopholes" supports that.
Though, I'm not sure you understand why. I don't think you even understand what you said.

Got it. So you’re “fence sitting”. You’re not really sure what they’re “breaking” but must know it’s happening because Trump says.

Nope. I know where I stand. I just haven't discussed it here. All I have done here is point out your economic ignorance. Moron.

What are those subsidies? Serious question.

Explain the Code baw, if I’m ignorant, surely you can enlighten me as I’m asking you for details, so go....
Explain your depth of knowledge with the code.

I'm a bit worried about the power these tech companies are amassing.
I'm not going to blame them for doing what big businesses do however, and I don't feel bad for the mom&popups that don't evolve from brick & mortar.

Explain the code
Your ignorance of the Code aside....the issue of free market capitalism not being applicable is proven by your assertion that Amazon is utilizing the code to its advantage. That is the antithesis of free market capitalism.
And since you cannot seem to differentiate between me calling you a moron and my thoughts on Amazon....I have zero issue with Amazon using the code to its advantage.

Nah, Amazon has become a de facto government purchasing agency

The amendment, Section 801 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), would help Amazon establish a tight grip on the lucrative, $53 billion government acquisitions market, experts say.

Amazon Amendment
Wait wait... opening up the government acquisitions process to competing private companies is now considered a subsidy?! Amazing how this is getting spun into the "Amazon Amendment".

The provision, dubbed the “Amazon amendment” by experts, according to an article in The Intercept, would allow for the creation of an online portal that government employees could use to purchase everyday items such as office supplies or furniture.
