still find your thought lesser - of course, BUCKYCHEESE has given us the preview/script of illbred moron presentation of such stupidity here before

You serious Clark?
You bet. Here is his post, one long attack on the critics, zero substance. Just like Trump.
quote:
The people who “don’t trust him on gun control” are the same people who don’t trust him on [insert any issue here]. On every issue, site unseen. Or I guess it just so happens that it’s the same people who by mere coincidence are prepared with a sweeping denunciation or criticism or rebuke of Trump in more or less every instance. So it’s more truthfully about a mostly undefined personality conflict between that individual and Trump than anything else, particularly policy issues.

Well, they get to claim that, they just look retarded when they do so.
Once again, Trump’s campaign promises require people to forget that he’s actually been the president once.

Can you do me a favor? quit being stupid. You are faced with the truth about Trump being anti-gun and you know nothing except to try and impugn the ones who speak frankly about your true love.
I actually prefer a republican to not nominate a gun grabber like CHUCK CANTERBURY (the guy you still cannot explain) to head the ATF.
How about clean house at the ATF instead of leaving all of Obama's appointees?? You Ok with that? Or do you like semi-auto bans and obama appointees??

I’ve talked about what he’s done.
What he's done? My right to keep and bear arms wasn't any more restricted in 2020 than they were in 2016 at the federal level. If anything, the Bruen decision that came from Trump's supreme court picks has set a precedent that should lead to even less infringement on our 2A rights down the road.
You are mad at Trump because Biden's ATF published a rule outlawing braces, which was shot down by the 5th circuit. When Trump's supreme court picks eventually and inevitably scrap Biden's ATF's pistol brace rule, will you still be this mad at Trump?

Nope, it’s that the matter is far more involved than either you’re willing to think about or able to think about. Do you really think Donald Trump is a proponent of heavy handed gun control? Essentially a progressive in that department? It just happened to slip by the voters in 2016 when he won the Presidency? He wants to do away with the Second Amendment, I guess it’s just that simple.
Baloney. You might have noticed that in any such instance of addressing “gun control” it happened to correspond with the mass shootings that unfortunately occurred during his tenure. And you also may recall the deafening calls for much, much more extreme proposals to curb gun rights in the wake of those events. Now, if you’re unaware of the prominent role that “compromise” plays in governance, especially at the national level, then you don’t really grasp how the political world stays spinning on its axis. Otherwise total breakdown and lock up of society would basically occur.
Long story short, Trump was in the hapless position to be the compromiser in chief who was tasked with negotiating the least possible impactful outcome in a specific snapshot in time when many many influential voices were demanding draconian measures. And he didn’t do a real bad job at it. You should actually be thanking him.
I’ll leave you with this to ponder: why hasn’t Desantis utilized his vast legislative influence and favor to dismantle Florida’s rather extreme state red flag laws? He could get with his cronies in Republican led legislature and tee that up if he wanted to. Why hasn’t he? The answer requires a deeper dive into the thought process than what’s been exhibited here so far.

Is there an explanation of why your orange idol re-nominated the gun-grabber? All I see is whiny little crybaby stuff.
Posted on 9/12/23 at 10:42 am to JJJimmyJimJames
are you suggesting that the only way the republicans can win is to nominate trump? because i would argue with proof that its quite the opposite.

You damn idiot.
That’s precisely what you were doing, it’s right there. It’s a quote of you demonstrating exactly that, “speaking for others.”

No, its not. Why did he re-nominate the gun-grabber when literally EVERYONE on the right said not to? Explain why.
You can write all the paragraphs you want trying to twist things to meet your emotional attachment to a politician, but this is a simple question, and you cannot answer it.

why not call bullshite on it? you either have principles and stand for them or you dont. Bending the fricking knee is not a solution.

why does he have to compromise? the dems dont.
i should be thinking him for spending more than any previous president and bending the knee to the dems on gun control? all while attacking anyone who disagreed with him?

this isnt about desantis, we are discussing trump. if you really want to start comparing policy for policy and which has the more conservative position we can do that....dont think you will be happy though.
