He went beyond journalism when he was told to leave by the pastor and he did not. He was on private property. He was an active participant in the illegal disruption of people worshiping their god. He was also antagonistic towards the pastor asking questions like, "do you think Jesus would have supported ICE?"

Dude is an epic piece of shite. He could to to prison for 11 years over this and I hope he is sentenced to 11 years.

If you’ve ever been inside a church, it can’t be a crime to just sit in the back quietly

Have you watched any video of the incident at all?

Our friend Don was covering the Grammy Awards. For what network?

The First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable.
It was also the right of those in the church to worship, and yet Don seemed to think his right to enter private property and disrupt a lawful and peaceful religious gathering was more important than their right to worship.

He broke the law, and frankly, I hope he receives the most severe punishment allowable. I also hope he repents of his wicked ways and turns to Jesus Christ by faith for the forgiveness of his sins.

He will never be convicted, but it is refreshing to see the government defend those who did nothing wrong.

Activist hiding behind journalism. Such a POS.

They love their self-affixed labels.

For example, violent rioters calling themselves "legal observers".

The equivalent of Charlie Kirk's assassin "just practicing marksmanship".

Right. The fact that he was on private property and was asked to leave, but he refused, is what is going to do him in.

Freedom of the press does not grant you the right to trespass on private property.

You don’t get to go along with bank robbers, join them, leave with them, celebrate them, and then claim “independence.”
Why stop at bank robbery, why not rape and murder.

Aren't all accessories just independent journalists.

So as long as you film it and post it to YouTube you can be a "journalist" and do whatever you want? Seems like someone should have told a bunch of people on J6 that.

John Earle Sullivan got 6 years for going into the Capitol as a journalist - and all he did was film and sell the footage to news outlets which is a journalistic activity. The DOJ claimed with a straight face that selling the footage made him a rioter.

This unprecedented attack on the First Amendment

I hope they are just programming their mush brained drones and don't really believe that trespassing on private property is covered under the first amendment.

If Abbe Lowell is defending you, there’s a 90+% chance that you are human flotsam.

Also a curious lack of outrage with Sheryl Atkinson's computer being hacked. And the prosecutions of O'Keefe and DeSouza. And raiding James Gordon Meek's house for classified documents (which are legal for a journalist to possess - only the person who leaked it committed a crime). Or how Assange became evil because his revelations embarrassed the Osiah.
