When we say something is a hate crime does it carry extra sentencing?
If you torture someone it is a hate crime regardless of the reason.
Presumably this 18y old kids just ruined their life. I think the process will work here. The board need to remember the majority of the US realizes how dumb and cruel these acts are

That's the first time I have heard don lemon have any compassion for anything a white person has been through. The not evil part I think was taken out of context. I actually think he meant he wasn't giving them the pass of oh they are evil that's why they did it. He thinks something is structured wrong in the homes of the kids. I actually agree with that. You are born evil. These 4 kids have a taught behavior that is the worst of the worst.

Better the lose their freedom and ruin their life, than that of good citizens who are trying to better their selves. These are dead enders, and dead weight. But for the larger Spiritual/Philosophical Argument...their removal from civil society is a big plus.

yeah if you can't operate in civil society you need to be taken out. I think there needs to be jail and it needs to be long. Kidnapping, assault etc- needs to be at least 15 years. Heck if OJ got 30 for trying to get stuff back this needs to be big.

Every time I hear people say that this country's history should influence our perception of an attack and the attackers I can't help but to feel that what's really being said is that "it's not the same because white people today are just getting what they deserve!"
