Well that's a bummer. She seemed like a sweet lady. I met her and chatted with her one time. She was gracious.

She played a character, but she was actually a smart cookie. Her music wasnt my favorite, but I respected her talent and I liked her as a person.

Dolly is my wife’s mom 2nd cousin. Me or my kids never got to meet her but my wife did when she was very young. My wife’s mom and Dolly were about 6 years apart and grew up close to one another in Sevierville area. My wife just told me her mom and Dolly died at the the same age.

She was an amazing woman. She bought books so that every child in Tennessee could have books come every month. For years. And it wasn’t a bunch of crap either.
