I have to say it would actually pretty on brand with this administration to cover up Epstein and his pedophile network and then arrest an American citizen for speaking out against Israel.

Competely an emotional response. They are not telling the media to "report their narrative". They are going after blatant lies that are used to foment anger and resistance, specifically the kind that lead to rioting, lawfare, and illegal activities. I agree with this. Media for decades has hidden this agenda under the First Amendment cloak. Time to fix it.
