Just turn your rent house into a private club. If you want to live there you must join the club and pay dues.

Seriously though, I get what you are saying. And the person who made a mistake years ago shouldn't have that hanging over their head forever.

However, it should be up to the landlord to decide what requirements they want to deal with. I'm not too fond of the government saying you have to do business with this person.

Serious questions - Trump has a conviction, would you rent to him?

Where do you expect people to find housing if they spent time in jail, or had personal bankruptcy, etc?

Are you retarded?

So background checks of any kind should be illegal regardless of who's doing it

Hunter Biden trashed and damaged Sweetgreen co-founder’s house, skimped on $80K in rent

quote:

Hunter Biden allegedly left his $25,000-per-month California rental in a state of disarray — and even stiffed the owner on months of rent, according to a new report.

Biden, 53, and his wife, Melissa Cohen, 37, rented a sleek property in Venice Beach overlooking the Grand Canal in 2021.

But quickly, their stay turned out to be a headache for then-owner Jonathan Neman, co-founder and CEO of Sweetgreen, who decided to sell the home last year at a major loss.
