As many experts have said. Many Presidents had their Presidential documents, memorandum's records, memorabilia, photos, letters, trinkets, crossfire hurricane, whitewater, Monica, or whatever they so pleased, in the sock drawer...and so forth to do whatever they shall want.
Whether it be in their Presidential offices, virtual or otherwise. Or their libraries.
Just because Trump didn't spend a lot of money putting a double wide up by a river. Like WJClinton...
Or a big ugly modern building like Obama.
Or Trump didn't freeze his records for 12 years like Obama.
Does not mean his documents are any more nefarious than other Presidents. Trump didn't pack the boxes in secret as the news has tried to say. This is like the nuke secrets leak...
Also, every President's records are automatically sealed for 5 years (Obama's 12 after millions in lawyers)
This stuff we are watching is done in back in forth's with Presidents and the National Archives people. Biden's DOJ injected politics into it. Proof is all the FBI whistleblowers.

Doesn't the Presidental Records Act mean he technically doesn't own any documents (paper or electronic) created during his Presidency? Or at least that is what I thought I remember from touring the Reagan Library.
I'll admit it has been a awhile and your other post on what past Presidents have done might mean I am not remembering correctly.

Yes, Presidents have their own private momentos, but presidential records are only found in libraries and museums on loan from the archives. Classified documents are not private property of any former President. To even make that argument shows how deep you are in for Trump.
Bottom Line: Trump stole classified documents, lied about it, hid them, and avoided every opportunity to return them. I hope they search every one of his properties when they indict him.

Thats absurdly incorrect. Many IC experts have already said that virtually anything a POTUS writes or communicates, no matter how benign, is often marked classified. These personal materials are stored by the outgoing administration and reviewed by the national archives over time - just as they were with Obama when he set up secure storage in Chicago following his presidency. The FBI reviewed and vetted the storage back in June and even made recommendations about locks that were agreed to.
The bottom line is, they went in on a tip about docs in a safe that didnt materialize, they seized items outside of the warrants scope, tried to get security cameras turned off, refused to allow counsel to observe the search, leaked false stories about nuclear secrets, and are now trying to play the obstruction angle because - since they found nothing - he MUST have smuggled the stuff out and hid it right?
This is the Russian hoax all over again.
