That’s kinda the whole fricking point. In both cases unauthorized people getting data is bad.

When welfare was reformed.....permanent disability on SS grew. Liberal clerks, "oh you lost welfare, have you considered disability, I notice you have a hangnail, and a permanent headache".
When the earned income tax credit was introduced (its not a credit its a payment to fraudsters) it quickly exploded. The friggin IRS themselves say at least a quarter.
How the fck can you send 25 refund checks to the same place in Mexico and not pick it up as fraud??????

1. My initial statement was, they need to reassure people they are taking steps to be HIPAA complaint. I doubt they are. Big Tech has never been in love with privacy laws.

3. You are taking them at their word for that, but also the whole point of HIPAA is privacy and our rights to privacy. Just becUsw they only care about fraud doesn’t mean they get access to medical records.
