Does it matter? Congress is not going to do this.

Do you think Desantis will be able to dismantle the IRS? Think about this, Trump came into office with the Republicans controlling the House and Senate and he couldn't get enough Republican support to build a wall on the southern border and couldn't get Republicans to kill Obama Care.....now, you think Desantis will be able to dismantle one of the most powerful federal bureaucracies? I would like to see it happen but I have my doubts.

Everything does have to be paid for one way or another. The subs don't run, the roads aren't built and repaired, the muh government promised social security isn't handed out using magic dust.

And the way those are paid are taxes no matter how we get them. Now the question should the greater burden of the tax system be put on the backs of the less well off or the more well off. And no a sales tax isn't equally fair to everyone as much as it might appear at first glance.

It couldn’t be any more skewed than it is right now. I thought y’all were all about people paying their fair share?

If you know ... spit it out ...

Are you saying he does want to eliminate the IRS ... therefore meaning his PAC is lying?

Doubtful. That’s not a very pragmatic proposal. Now, you claimed the TCJA was a swampy bill. Please expand on that.

Just another corrupt government agency that has zero purpose if you think it through.

One of the things neither a donkey(D) or elephant(R)
want to/will eliminate is a (cash)cow that doesn't fart.

I didn't say he would / could ... this is about Trump's campaign continuing to tell lies. It is also about the Always Trumpers supporting the moron.

... I'm for eliminating the part of the IRS dealing with individual income tax payers ... but would the cause would have to address the elderly who have been screwed for years by the Fed govt and IRS.

Ive tried to engage you specifically concerning the TCJA and you have avoided me. Is it that perhaps you have no clue what you’re talking about?

One of the things y'all talk about the most is the "Trump" tax cut... which of course continued deficit spending (lowering? - you mean add more to the national debt?).

In the end, the Senate backed off of a more simplified plan and he signed the bill. You KNOW the Trump PAC is lying and y'all seem to be ok with that.

You think spending was addressed in the changes to the tax code?

No, he doesn't. You're looking for whomever the Libertarians are running. You know, the crazy ones.

Yes, eliminating the most invasive agency and most powerful tool of the government to impact the daily lives of Americans is a conservative position. We did just fine as a country until 1913 without an Income Tax. BTW, the way to attack it isn't to try to overturn the Amendment directly. The way to attack it is a lawsuit to overturn Federal Withholding which was started as an emergency measure in 1944 as WWII was at its zenith. Take away Withholding and the IRS and Income Tax collapses. Withholding is blatantly Unconstitutional btw. Unfortunately most people are sheep and can't see the obvious truth.

No chance SCOTUS kills withholding. They just won’t do it.

Sure ... the short version is that they lowered the corp rate too much without cutting more spending ... and that continued deficit spending and added to the national debt. They did not have to lower the corp tax that far in one bill. What happens the next the GOP needs to lower it to get the economy going? Trump promised "Never Again" after the first year of deficit spending, yet NEVER held the line. He never had any intention to ... it was all about getting reelected. In short, the GOp could have made it a great bill without the deficit spending and adding to the national debt. The economy would have been great ... but he supported overdoing it... just like the DEMs on the other side.

Did you guys read this? Anybody? You see it don;t you.

Here is yet another example of a person outing themselves. You have 2 very huge "DeSantis" supporters outing themselves today.

One is promoting a democrat over Trump.

This one is telling you that cutting taxes is adding to the national debt....
