Does Mexico have any inherent industry that they can claim as theirs?

Piggy backing off the Chev Blazer being made in Mexico got me thinking.
What exactly can Mexicans point to from product standpoint that they have developed on their own?
Do they have a Mexican brand of car, ship, etc?
So basically all NAFTA did was allow American manufacturers to set up shop in Mexico, bring their ingenuity, factory lay-out, expertise, etc. and employee their citizens-pay them on the cheap and ship the product to the US. Benefit to the US consumer- cheaper goods.
Negative- puts large swaths of US workers out of jobs.
It's about time that Mexico develop their own autos, ships, etc. and see if they can compete with the American versions.
If they can make a superior product than let the market dictate.

Other than a food based product?
Kind of sad and pathetic if you think about it. They have developed and contributed nothing to the industrialized world.
Or am I missing something?

Drug running, extortion, kidnapping, and murder are the natural resources of Mexico
Also, they are the land of the US$5 hooker.
