Does it weird you out that at one time you voted for Romney or McCain?

Not a single bit when you consider who they were running a agianst. The reality for conservatives is that every election is a lesser of two evils choice - who will grow the government less is always the choice we’re left with.

I don't feel bad about my vote for Romney. He was 100% the better choice than Obama at that time. why he didn't hammer him relentlessly after the first debate is beyond me.

McCain is a vote that will haunt me to my dying days.

They were different people then

Trump was friends with the Dems and Clinton’s before their party became radical

Not really, because the alternatives were just a bad, or worse.

No at all. In both cases, better than Obama.

At the time, Romney is who we needed and I don't regret my vote for him. However, I have been disappointed in him recently considering Trump had his back in the 2012 election.

Its because the man has no balls. Had he eviscerated Candy Crowley when she stood up for Obama during the debate like Trump eviscerated basically everyone in 2016 he would have won the election. Still voted for that gutless loser anyway.

PS I hate politics.

it's possible to have balls, stick to your guns and not be an a-hole like Trump. Ted Cruz does it. Mike Lee does it.

Romney and Bush both were neo-cons, but still better than their alternatives. They cared more about looking like nice guys than they did doing right by the country and defending themselves and conservative policies.

I’m more disappointed that I voted for Kasich in the 2016 primaries.

I didn’t get my coat and board the train until a few months later.

Yes.

But then I remember that the alternative was an anti-American, race-baiting community agitator, and I'm okay again.

Yeah? And look where that got them. One lost like a dog and the other got his presidency knee capped.

being an "a-hole" got Trump elected. Like him, I prefer winners. Being nice to the norks got us nowhere. Being nice to China got the middle class gutted in this country.

Ill take someone not shy about bashing someones head in when necessary over some soy boy looking to not hurt someones feelings because muh politics and decorum.

Were they both terrible? Yes.

Were they better than Obama? Again, yes.

Unfortunately you have to vote for the better candidate even if they suck.
