Rules are set beforehand. She eats, I pay. Not forking over money for tilapia or swai , which BTW, many restaurants serve. However, I am good with chicken. That can definitely slide.

I’d be willing to bet this young woman’s opinion of your order did not affect your dining experience in any way. But rather, you have chosen to get your feelings hurt by it and run to the internet to tell your “conservative looking” homies about it looking for likes.

But I highly doubt some girl who presumably has spent more than 5 minutes in the Dallas suburbs was offended by OP ordering a steak in a steakhouse.
