So true- but they will turn a blind eye to this reality!

Doc again repeating the line that blacks are monolithic thinkers and all should be or are democrats.

Also tired of hearing about how nobody has been arrested for Breonna Taylor's killing. Like, her boyfriend was in a shootout with police and she got hit in the crossfire.

You can certainly question if the tactics at hand should have been used, but they were lawful, and there's zero way to charge anyone with murder there and have it stick for more than five minutes.

Rivers wasnt nearly as bad as Dominique Foxworth was on First Take this morning. According to him the only reason America is a super power is because of black men.

I think the telling thing from this claim by Rivers is that it's clear that far too many black mothers/fathers clearly do not have this conversation with their sons. It's implied in suggesting white people don't.

Problem is, most of us do! Even though I'd suggest most white people tend to be more "law and order" and siding with police more often (unjustly in many cases but that's another issue) we STILL take the time to explain to our sons that if/when they ever get pulled over or deal with a LEO, how to do it.

I have an 18 year old son and absolutely sat him down several times after him getting his license and him starting to drive more on his own and explained several things. Essentially...

"Look buddy, if you get pulled over make sure you're pulled over safely and as far as you can go. Roll your window down, turn your car off and put your hands up on the steering wheel. If it's at night, turn your inside light on first. If the officer asked for your paperwork, tell him where it is and if you can get it. Be polite and answer questions honestly. If the LEO is a dick and you think he's stopped you for something that you did not do, arguing on the side of the road is not how that gets fixed. We'll deal with that after. Makes sense?

why do we allow guys like Doc Rivers to act like this conversation should not be universal? And not because LEOs pose some imminent danger but because LEOs are armed, have had bad interactions with the public in the past and there is ZERO reason to make a potentially dangerous situation ACTUALLY dangerous by doing things which make the officer more likely to fear you.
