we're not "free" but we're more free than pretty much anywhere else, especially when you limit it to developed, stable nations
if you limit the discussion to stable, developed countries the list isn't that long
US, UK, France, Germany, NED, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Icleand (pushing it) Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, and Austrailia is probably the list (Spain and Italy are on the verge of collapse but you can list them if you want). i went off memory but that's probably the best list on the fly
the US is the most free of those countries

well you have to go to school by law until you are 16 or 18 without parents permission
if i wanted to build a shack somewhere in BFE id still have to pay property taxes and id still have to pay a water bill because collecting rainwater and putrfying yourself is illegal
there is also massive pressure to go to college if you want to be successful (enjoy those thousands of $$ worth of loans)
our political system is a sham. i mean i could go on

This board fascinates me.
yup. pretty much
the elite have made it so we are constantly fighting "left vs right" - that way they remain in control.
when in reality its the 0.1% vs the rest of us slaves who think we are free because we get to buy a new iphone every year and a mocha latte at starbucks each morning

All these Sheeple with the personal attacks doing the biddin foe the Cabal. Doing exactly what they want them to do, being led around by their noses. One day y'all will realize Tx Tiger is the most enlightened poster here. Hope it isn't too late.

I mean, that's what I tend to believe, but how would I know - I've never lived anywhere else.

debateable
if i lose income and my family (kids/wife) has cancer im pretty much f-d for life
I could get sued for anything under the sun and lose 6 figures just like that
i could get divorce raped - RIP

i mean you can read the laws and regulations in areas like Western Europe. they're not a secret
and if your theory about an international banking system is true, then your comment has no real, rational weight in responding to my comment. if your statement is true, i'm just discussing which slave state is the most free.

Name me a country that has more freedom than we do.
Sweden is so free that refugees can rape all the women they want with no consequences.

Then listen to those of us who've lived in other countries when we tell you the US, while not perfect by any stretch, is by far the most free.

we have the most comfortable lifestyles, but we are certainly not the most free

we have Medicaid if you lose income
if you're not that poor, you have enough income for health insurance

do you think civil lawsuits are restricted to the US?

do you think unequal economic division post-divorce is a concept restricted to the US?
hell in Canada, lesbians have sued a comic for making a joke they didn't like and won a ton of money
hell go read the story of Dave Foley and how the Canadian system raped him
and mentioning both of these stories makes me realize Canada wasn't on the list (and it obviously is on the list)

Yes, we are. Name another country that you consider more free and why.
And having government-provided healthcare is not freedom, so don't even go down that path.

you're speaking in generalities but aren't giving any comparative evidence to allow an analysis

Poor TX Tiger, you can't even see the way rocket is managing you for the benefit of the elites.

This country is bigger than you seem to think. Its not just banking, Wall st, politicians, DC, tweets and reading post.
Plenty of Americans live where they wish, do what they want and many live off the grid. Mountain folk, some on the plains, the outback of Alaska or people who spend much of their lives on the water all I think would take exception to your words.
