Donald Trump getting elected and the vile reaction so many had. I had previously voted blue my whole life because I was raised to support the blue collar worker and realized I was just supporting hand outs while I worked and paid taxes. So 9 months prego, I voted for Trump. Trump exposed the swamp, even in my own family and friends, caused me to dig and read a lot. I never paid attention to politics before him. I was so naive.

When Obama was chosen as the democrat presidential candidate

Every single stadium in the SEC if not the country with natural grass has similar watering systems. Every. Single. One. The way this water was shot up into the stands was because stadium personnel were manning the water flow and directing it at idiots on the field who would not leave. Idiots in the stands who are directed to leave but did not leave. Oh, they all wore red and black?
I repeat myself.
I repeat myself.

He wasn’t my choice. I still think he’s a Bush guy and squishy.
But the railroading of him was relentless, unnecessary and criminal.
I’ll never vote Democrat again. I also will never believe any accusation made by a Democrat again.

Funny story. Got into it with my dad at his camp a few weeks ago. He is basically like listening to ABC news. Says I shouldn’t have a gun in my home, just call the police and wait to be saved by other people with a gun. Ridiculous. Anyway, he was pissed and acting like I’m brainwashed, etc. Next morning I left to head back home. My mom called me cackling because there was a Trump boat rally in his finger of Toledo Bend. She stays neutral around both of us, but snuck away to call me. She said you couldn’t even see the water there were so many. Made my day.

Dude. I don't want to derail this awesome thread, but I will say one last thing about this. The UGA fans on the field tearing up the Aubie logo deserved everything they got and more even though it was retribution for Aubie tearing up the Sanford hedges the prior year. Turning the hoses onto fans in the stands was petty bullshite and caused injury to several elderly fans in attendance.

Dallas police ambush. Hillbitch took that tragedy and made it about what white people need to do.
A black guy incited by media fearmongering about cops, shoots and murders several cops. But somehow it became about white people needing patience.

Don’t confuse the point I am trying to make. Argue that stadium officials chose poorly to spray water on fans because they weren’t smart enough in the first place to get enough stadium security. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m just saying that the reporting in the AJC and other newspapers we’re trying to revive images of Birmingham circa 1950s and 60s. There were no water cannons used. No stadium has a freaking water cannons , and that’s a fact. The reporting was hyper exaggerated for effect, and didn’t accurately report what happened.
I know, I was there.

I had a teacher, over 20 years ago, who (probably was quoting from a movie) said "the US has the second worst government in the world...
....(well who is the worst?)...everybody else."
He also said that the "best and most efficient form of government is a benign King, but we may not see that in our lifetime".
I thought what he said made sense in theory, and accepted it at face value, but there was no such thing as a benign king, because people are corruptible and we are not a monarchy and we weren't heading in that direction. I really didn't know what he was talking about until years later when I started to read the Bible and started to understand who King Jesus was, is, and is to come.
The other thing that was eye opening (at that time) was reading the book bias by Bernie Goldberg, which is pretty mild relative to a lot of other things. The book was written some time in 2001 but was regarding the media back in the 90s. His assertion of the media during those times was that the bias occurred in a subtle way, because certain stories that did not fit the mainstream view were simply not covered.
It is not different today because the big media (of whatever flavor) tend to focus more on things that support their views rather than reporting the raw facts . Today there is a much bigger division of opposing views (in all sides really). And even mainstream views today seem very radical and aggressive compared to 30 years ago. There is a much bigger push out of the hive mindset to keep pushing certain stories types over and over again. Often, we find out later that many stories and claims end up being false (whether though intentionally lying or having really bad sources and facts at the time of the broadcast), seemingly false narratives, and story lines seem intent on being divisive. Compared to today the media in the 90s, seems mild.

When the judge refused to dismiss the case against Flynn after the DOJ dropped the charges, that really opened my eyes to the depth of corruption in the federal government.
When social media and networks refused to allow a discussion even on the possibility of election fraud, when Time ran a story where they bragged about rigging the election against Trump (their words), when AWS shut down Parler servers after Apple and Google colluded to remove their apps from their stores, that opened my eyes to the Oligarchy that we live in.

Forced my eyes open (civilization as we know it has been destroyed /rebooted in the past). The Matrix plays with this very theme
Started questioning history and everything we are told to accept as “normal”
Wild ride since…

Been Conservative my whole life.
But if there was a single event that "red pilled" me it was the passing of the Patriot Act.
I subscribe to the "Anyone who is willing to give up freedom for security (a false sense of security at that) deserves neither" theory.
