Require you to completely disregard how the real world works?
There's no such thing as gender. Printing and spending a shite ton of money doesn't lead to inflation. Reducing and vilianinzing cops won't lead to an increase in violent crimes. The border is more secure now by not having a wall and letting anyone in. Etc....

The central principle of leftists always boils down to 'fairness'.
Welfare takes money from people who have more and gives to those who have less to make things fair.
LGBTQ+ are greatly outnumbered by normal people. It's not fair.
Whites are globally more successful than blacks. It's not fair.
Criminals are in prison more than law abiding people. Not fair.
People in 3rd world countries should be able to come to rich countries to make things fair.
It's the basic philosophy of Marxism and it always fails because people are not equal and govt. control ALWAYS results in unintended consequences which destroys everyone's life except the rulers.

It absolutely does without matching economic growth. I didn't go to Wharton, but I can't imagine anyone thinking we'd see anything close to matching economic growth when our money printers were going brrrr during "lockdowns."
