t won’t be inflated much because most, not all, of the covid deaths would have fallen within that timeframe even if the virus didn’t exist This is not controversial, just a fact

We need to strategically move forward and get the econonmy back online, but this is just a preposterous statement

So this basically means that, right now, COVID carries about a 20x times higher risk of death than vehicle operation.

Technically, if those people in a car wreck cough they have the beer disease and died of the beer disease.

The vast majority of the people dying from this are not dying from the disease... they are dying from their pre-existing condition and old age.

Its like saying people that go to the hospital and die, the hospital killed them.

You're an idiot.

No it’s not, you aren’t even close. It’s more like 105 or 106 per day on average. More folks are dying from COVID-19 right now. You are just pulling numbers out of the air.

With that mentality, the hospital is probably killing 99% of these patients... as they die in a hospital... that means the hospital killed them. Just because you have a virus doesn't mean that was primary cause of death.

Not at all

What do you think the 2 year mortality rate is for someone 75 years old with 2 or more health issues such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity etc? Because that is your average covid death worldwide

Covid deaths, most but not all, are borrowed deaths in the somewhat near term

Its very possibly in many countries I have spotted checked, data is not detailed enough... average age of someone dying of the beer disease might actually be a few years higher than the average age expectancy... Spain comes to mind. And that is with serious pre-existing conditions.

Your ability to make any sense and babble about nonsense is remarkable, but whatever makes you sleep better.

Its a pandemic but total deaths will probably be going down, idiot. You're a fearmongering idiot, big pussy.

Now add in obesity and pre-existing conditions... the sick are dying more or less right on time. Which is why they possibly missed the virus being around for months, total death rates have not really changed. Now with peak, than a few more are getting pushed to the front of the line by a few hours, days, weeks... a few by months, maybe.

The nursing homes get hit as those people are more than likely in their last 1% if not less.

And what is the death rate for an 80 year old with no comorbidities who gets covid?

I would say roughly the same, likely lower than 5%.....

Does it matter?

Since the start of the aids epidemic in the 1980's, 75 million people have contracted aids.

43 MILLION HAVE DIED. That's 43%.

Still no cure.

Nor will there be one for covid, flu, cancer or the common cold which people still die from.

frick covid.

1-2 million people die globally a year from tuberculosis and there is actually lots treatment and prevention for that.

Malaria is like about a half a million a year, globally.

We are doing the math, and the math says that the "almost impossible" happens over 2000 times per day. This "almost impossible" cause of death has been the #1 cause of death in the US for a few weeks now.

A patient in my sister's hospital died of COVID 19. He was 86 and had already been in the hospital nearly a year. She knew him well. He had been on death's door that whole time and, finally, COVID got him.

Which describes a shite TON of the elderly patients who have died...…….and over 70% of the deaths are elderly.

So yes. For you and me, it's fricking ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to die of COVID - 19.

Its very possible that the vast majority people that have it... will never know... no symptoms.

Not only will you not die, chances are you won't be sick.
