It runs on Chromium.

Replaces Googles and others ads with its own.

Claims they don't track you. So does DDG. Who knows what actually gets tracked by either because one runs on a Google piece of open software, the other runs on a Microsoft piece of open software.

You really don’t have a good grasp on what you are talking about.

You are conflating so many things. Comparing apples to oranges. Browsers and search engines are two different things. DDG using bing but having a closed source search program is not even in the same category as Brave being an OS browser

Also. Firefox has more security issues than chromium by far. Both are open source. Extensions make privacy worse because they make your fingerprint more unique.

If you tell me Google, well, you now are not only using a site that is liberal, but now you are also financially rewarding them.

So did you replace your entire iPhone because they are just as liberal if not more. At least in android you can somewhat control what lies Google spews out

I believe the CEO is lying. Over the last several months, I have noticed a definite change in the types and sources of search results that turn up when using DuckDuckGo. It has become no different than Google. Therefore, I have deleted DuckDuckGO from all of my devices and computers. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

I am not very impressed with brave search beta, either.

Seems like all these alternative search engines run off of what Google provides them.

We need a true, independent web scrapper and search engine that is politically neutral or will let us pick left or right leaning results with a slider. That would be cool.

Actually, I do. I am quoting the reality of what both browsers are using for their base search results.

Again, no I am not. Both run on Open Source platforms. That doesn't mean they can't be altered or expanded. And also doesn't mean that the original software isn't tracking you.

I never stated anything about "security". My entire argument against using certain types of browsers is due to not wanting to fund leftists like Google and Microsoft.

Furthermore, I haven't talked much about which extensions I use (one of them is Ublock Origin which is a script blocker -- i.e., an advertisement blocker) which people like TD probably hate. As an example, I can watch youtube videos all day long or all year long without ever seeing an advert.

I do shut off UO for sites I trust and want them to make money from my visits though. Otherwise I basically don't ever see an advert. Ever.

Yes, the butler. An overt display of Euro-white imperialistic colonialism, oppression and bigotry. Well played.
