Gabriel Weinberg, the CEO and founder of DuckDuckGo, took to Twitter to debunk claims that the search engine was going to purge independent media from search results. Weinberg said a news story’s headline was misleading and “completely made up,” taking a statement he said about Russia out of context. DuckDuckGo is a search engine that focuses on providing privacy and encryption to its users.

You did know that DDG uses Bing (Microsoft) as the main engine for searches, right?
I use DDG because they don't track you.
Willing to listen to anyone that can suggest anything better. I also use FF with several choice add-ons.
Since nobody is willing to actually share what their code is on any search engine, you have no idea what any site filters out in actuality.

YEP... people don't think for themselves and believe everything they read. DDG was a frontrunner is helping with the fight against the REAL Evil Ones - Google, Facebook, Oracle, Adobe and MANY others. Now they have a product that will remove the trackers in your emails ... but that's ok, keep your head in the sand folks. Use a Russian Search engine ... brilliant.

They are already using Microsoft's search engine, Bing, for their results anyway.
I primarily use DDG because they don't track you.
Use Firefox most of the time to be honest though. With a few choice extensions of course.

I'll believe it when they file a lawsuit. If there is zero truth to it, slander or libel would be the words Weinberg would issue to the press.

Just curious, what did you replace it with?
If you tell me Google, well, you now are not only using a site that is liberal, but now you are also financially rewarding them.
DDG still doesn't track you and cannot make money that way.

Yeah what are you using now? I still have DDG primarily for no tracking, but I have no issue switching after this crap.

Startpage is an option if you are going to dump DDG.
You could try using FF with Ublock Origin. I use that most of the time.
If you really don't want to be tracked then use a VPN. I've used DDG not for privacy but just so Google or other libtard search engines can't make money from me when I'm searching for stuff to buy (on my laptop).

Didn't realize Brave had a search site. I'm pretty happy with their browser. Might have to give it a go.
