And the moment Fauci even mildly implied that we might just need to get booster after booster after booster as a response to "vaccine don't fricking work", he should have been laughed out of the room by any half reasonable humans.
Mind you, you can find video of Fauci from early in 2020 talking about the ONLY realistic timeline for delivering a real vaccine. A video he has just completely abandoned and not a soul even asks him about.

i'm not wishing anything ill on people who got the jab. so many people falling for all the hysteria after the way it came out in media and was handled is concerning. it's been disingenuous every step of the way.
if someone didn't think this "pandemic" was sketchy, then at least i have a better understanding of people's judgment and priorities. we have a lot of weak, simple-minded people in our society. it's how we influence children. fear and shiny things.

The bottom line is following.
1. We decided to attempt to develop a vaccine in literal world record time.
2. When we decided that, EVERYONE in the media mocked the President for it. And Fauci went on EXTENSIVELY about how unrealistic it was.
3. But, we got one in under a year. OK. Forget conspiracy for a moment.
4. It is PERFECTLY frickING REASONABLE to say that it is IMPOSSIBLE to know the vaccine is safe in that short of a time.
Does this mean that I think they want it to be bad? No. I assume that the people trying to make a vaccine want the best vaccine they can come up with. I also know they're humans and, well, we just asked them to break world records to achieve a vaccine.
This ABSOLUTELY means with 100% certainty that there are unknown risks and I'd bet my house that allowed to speak freely, every developer would say the same.
Frankly, I don't even see anything wrong with that. You get the damned thing out and you offer it to the people most at risk. Because while a vaccine with some unknowns might be dumb for a 20 year old to take, it's not necessarily dumb for a 70 year old to do so.
ALL of that would have been perfectly rational. But nooooooo. We have a bunch of fricking liberals who have been getting off on all of their "emergency edicts" and "sticking it to" people who like freedom, that they went the mandate route.
So, here we are.

Me pointing out absurd/irrational stances that are popular on this board don't mean I've veered left.
This board has bouts of mass formation psychosis but they're blinded to only point out the MFP of "the left" while ignoring their own.
Occasionally I try to illuminate them, often to NPC responses/talking points, whataboutism, strawman arguments, and ad hom arguments (incorrectly calling me a leftist).
