There's a call-and-response quality to it. E.g. "Rigged election" from elites yields "evidence" (e.g. ballots unreadable to sharpies) yields influencers & pols picking this up which gets it on FoxNews & messaging it back to the grandma.

My stance has been consistent if anything happened there Russia worked hard to make it appear like collusion to those who wanted to believe.
I've never claimed Russia hacked election infrastructure either.
