You won’t on this issue. There are about a dozen military/intel/academic guys on the podcast circuit who were either supportive or neutral about Trump who are just absolutely crucifying him over this conflict. I would say they are realists.

We can't really control that, plus it only further brings the UAE over to our side in the conflict.

At this point, there has to be SOMETHING done to break the deadlock in negotiations. Clearly they think they can wait out and manage our blockade, even if it destroys the civilian life in Iran and ruins their economy. This is a holy war to them, they're willing to sacrifice the non-hardliners in Iran while hiding in their bunkers and taking money out of their stockpiled offshore accounts.
I think you have to give them a wollop for every failed proposal put forward. Start small, maybe a steel factory or port. The next proposal they put forward that's unacceptable or next time they reject ours, obliterate something slightly more important. So on and so forth until they get the fricking hint. If they still don't after several escalating targets are destroyed, start going after power plants one by one. Completely ruin the IRGC's ability to function at all, even if the people themselves are still alive.
Something has to be done to "break the tie" so to speak. We have to put weight on the scale in our favor in another way.

I hear Iran has been sending oil to china by rail now. They can’t send as much that way as by tanker and it’s way more expensive but it is a lifeline for them. I’d at least send over a few tomahawks to take out some railway bridges!
