And I don’t mind wars we win and leave. I don’t like wars were we get our asses kicked by goat frickers for 20 years because idiots like you who just like fighting for no reason and with no goal and no plan for winning are leading the military.

You wouldn't have to worry about it. I'm sure you've raised your kids to be pussies, too.

That isn't what happened. The problems we had were almost exclusively because we let bitch arse civilians like you watching on CNN have an opinion about how we should fight a war.

Yeah Iraq and Afghanistan were shining examples of military prowess. People like you got 7,000 soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan and 10s of thousands maimed for nothing. Absolutely fricking nothing except guys like you got a hard on.

I don't know how this thread devolved, but to return to theme. Ultimately, the Disney issue boils down to wise vs woke. Disney would have continued the suit, had it not understood the risk of losing Iger-sycophantic board seats.

Disney dropping the suits was about that threat, and concomitant assurances by the likes of Larry Fink that if anti-family issues were sidelined temporarily, they could continue once a unanimously woke board could be reseated.

Anyone investing in iShares/Blackrock products should be aware Larry Fink is going to vote your shares, the corporate stake in companies which YOU OWN, in most leftist way he can. It is the ultimate, the endpoint, of vote harvesting. Fink did it again in barring Nelson Peltz to simply gain his reps a couple of seats in order to talk sense to the rest of the Disney board. Fink and his minions are actively disinterested in rational viewpoints, or their presentation.

If you read the article, there’s no clear “winner” here. Disney’s going to negotiate against the district out of court and pausing their federal suit for now

This is spin. Disney accepting the new board structure is clearly a win for DeSantis. It means they don’t think they’ll win in Florida court. The “pause” for federal court is face saving for Disney. You don’t pause cases you think you’ll win but Disney is hoping to play nice now. DeSantis doesn’t want to destroy Disney, they are a big part of Florida’s economy. He just wants them to shut their mouth. Disney got the message but a little too late. They’ve already hurt their brand with conservatives.

Do you actually think pausing a suit means you have the upper hand? Especially when you have unlimited resources?

That sounds foolish to me but I’m not a lawyer

Any "Republicans" who cheered on Disney against DeSantis need to be purged from the party. Same with any "Republicans" who defended Bud Light and believe that biological men should use women's bathrooms.

I remember when certain posters on here were convinced that desantis was outmaneuvered by Disney on the whole reedy Creek thing. Subsequently had their federal first amendment case thrown out and then lost their state of Florida case

Disney stopped BOTH of its own cases against FL.

That is a clear DeSantis win. What did Disney get out of it? Their stock climbed, and they sheltered their board from a Peltz attack
