Pretty crazy story. It is mixed race, so maybe that will prevent rioting. The main subject when exhumed actually had his wallet with id on the body. He was hit by a patrol car and they couldn't id him... thus, the paupers grave. Is sounds like an incompetent and uncaring Coroner, to me. That person should be ID'd and will unless they are a protected minority. Same goes for the cop that hit him.

They’re gonna pay through the nose with this. What a terrible thing to put those families through and hope they all end up in jail. Having a record of a burial yet not sharing those details - then lying about it to boot?

Also even if they can't identify the guy (they could), shouldn't a cop hitting and killing a guy with his patrol car amount to something? Would be vehicular homicide for me and you - instead they just buried the dude out back and carried on. Awful
