And? Does he stand by the words? Why should it matter if they got an actor to read them or AI?

Do you really think this is ok to do? Is this the political world we want to live in just because you like the candidate that it supports?

This is so bad, and not something I want to propagate through society.

why?

Using an AI voice generator to read words that I came to that did not actually say would indeed be very troubling. Reading words actually written by that candidate? Not even in the same ballpark.

It's so much easier to add in emphasis and inflection to written words, thereby distorting the message.

A Trump PAC used an actor to play Ron DeSantis in the pudding fingers ad not 3 months. These are just a few of the comments from some of the bigger Trump first supporters on this board. So far none of them have commented in this thread that I’ve seen though

From jbdawg03
quote:

How dare he go at his biggest challenge to the nomination! The ad is stupid tho

From Volcanic Tiger
quote:

You little whiny bitches can't handle a primary brawl, like pussy-arse Kasich supporters.

From FlexDawg
quote:

The DeSanctus Facebook group on here that doesn’t show up in real polling won’t like this. They are worse than dems and have no sense of humor. They’re just mad that Trump is doing to DeSantis what he did to all other Republicans in the 2016 GOP race and it’s working wonderfully

From Giantkiller
quote:

Well, once again since y’all don’t seem to understand, Trump has to clear the primary board first. Ron is the first challenge. Teams in the divisional playoffs don’t start writing a game plan for the Super Bowl until they get there. Why would anybody expect Trump to?

Here’s the thread

which Morgan Freeman could do much more effectively than a computer-generated AI voice. Would you oppose hiring Morgan Freeman?

I would have picked James Earl Jones.

Don't use AI.

Using James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman as a voice over, the intention to fake Trump's voice would not exist.

However using AI the intention IS to fake Trump's voice.

Yep they are fine with having an actor impersonating Ron based on anonymous sources in media reports. But having impersonation of words that Trump directly wrote, did not take down, did not backtrack that’s not ok

Hearing someone say something rather than read it is more impactful.

I also know that the more people are exposed to Trump the more they dislike him. It’s why he can’t go back on Twitter.

So I understand why you are worried that Trump might be let out of the basement of Truth social I really do.

Just don’t try to have a false air of morality when you argue it

Why do you get mad about a simulated voice of trumps own words?

You don’t care about any of the dirty pool Trump does.

Hypocrisy.

The funny thing to me is you and most are missing the obvious reason they used AI. They wanted Trump people to scream about it and push it out. They wanted the controversy because that meant that it would be shown 10x times more than if it wasn't in there. You all fell for the trap.

Thanks for supporting DeSantis '24.

So you are okay with using AI to impersonate people. Got it.

I’m 100% ok with using AI to read a quote of the person being impersonated. If they had made up a quote to use with an AI voice, I would not be ok with that.

It’s not that different than showing the picture of someone while quoting them. Even if the picture you’re using is not a picture of them while they’re speaking the quote in question.

It’s not deceptive.

Oh shut the frick up. You've been radio silent on the following:

-Trump himself implying DeSantis groomed college girls
-Trump himself implying DeSantis sexually assaulted a man
-Team Trump photoshopping George Soros in the background of a DeSantis event
-Team Trump stating that DeSantis is controlled by Soros, which was community noted
-Team Trump using AI to convince people that Hillary Clinton endorsed DeSantis
-Team Trump accusing Casey DeSantis of faking her cancer
