It's a timeline. If noting the dates of all this stuff equals a "defense" in your eyes maybe you just have a problem with logic.

Joe Kent isn’t some bastion of conscience. He’s cashing in.

He took a job in the Trump admin and is suddenly surprised by Trump being Trump.

Whether they admit it or not, a lot of people are suddenly surprised that Trump is acting no different than GWB and going for full regime change in the ME. From what I've seen Kent didn't have a problem with the bombing last summer because he did think they were a threat and everybody keeps sharing comments he made to that effect. Apparently he believes their program has been set back enough to where this wasn't necessary.

He resigned to protest his boss and go on Tucker's podcast and whine. It is at minimal uncouth. How is that logical?

Are you saying Tucker, Candace, MTG are logical?

It is the most logical point of this divisive mess to realize Tucker is running against the wind.

Are you team Tucker?

Yes. Apparently the timeline looks like this:
-Prior to Jun 2025, Kent: "Iran is a real threat"
-We bomb their facilities in Jun 2025. Kent apparently thinks that was needed, I haven't seen anything to the contrary
-Now, less than a year later, Trump is going back on his claims he made and insisted that we have go to war.
-Now, post bombing, Kent thinks they've been set back enough that war wasn't necessary.

Now none of that makes him right or wrong, but that's a pretty damned reasonable chain of events. This isn't somebody who suddenly resigned because Trump is trying to close the border or deport illegals.

Not sure I agree, I think people like Tulsi and maybe Kent were basically used for the muh peace no new wars message. This is how the fun big MAGA tent was created. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

Former CIA officer Larry Johnson backs him and took a flamethrower to Tulsi. I suspect some other former intel guys like Ray McGovern and John Kiriakou in the alt media sphere agree.

So nobody should ever resign? If Trump granted amnesty to 10 million illegals tomorrow everybody who works for him should just shrug their shoulders and say "Well, you know he just talks a lot of shite."

Is that where you're coming from?

If they are so profoundly bothered they should resign immediately, rather than wait around a couple of weeks.

I suspect his access to data to leak was cut off.

No. If you’re an ideologue (non-pejorative), don’t take a role in a Trump admin.

If you wanna make this guy into Joan of Arc, you’re welcome to it.

So shortsighted. Of course we weren’t under an imminent threat but a nuclear Iran with unlimited ballistic missiles is going to be allowed?

These people are radical Islamic fanatics that hate the west.

This isn’t even a debate.

Why do you care? You accept his reason for resigning but he should have consulted you about a timeline? Two weeks ain't that long in the real world. If he waited a year into it that would be odd.

All I've said is that I don't see anything unreasonable about his actions. Would you like to take issue with that instead of some false claim about Joan of Arc?

I don't want a presidency, any presidency, where his leadership team members are just supposed to suck it up and soldier on no matter how much he deviates from what he told the country he would do. If you do want that we just have a difference of opinion.

Sean Spicer said he spoke with multiple coworkers of his and nobody had anything nice to say about him. Not even a "he's a nice guy"

I suspect he has ulterior motives.

You don’t.

Awesome. That’s it. That’s the difference.

Wrong. Quote me.

I haven't said anything about his motivation because I can't read his mind. I'm just looking at the timeline of his posts everybody keeps sharing and his actions.

I don’t have an issue at all with him resigning if he thinks this is the right thing to do - and that bombing Iran is unnecessary. Many congressional and Trump appointees, and conservatives, feel this way, I’m sure. They just can’t admit it.

I guess I have an issue with how he is doing it. Did he give the Administration prior warning or go to them in disagreement (with receipts)?

If so, this makes sense. If this is kinda out of the blue, after listening to the Tuckers and MTGs of the world, I dunno . . .

How would we know that? Since he felt strongly enough to resign I suspect he made his opinion known but I have no idea. Just looking at his career he doesn't seem like someone who would resign without trying to change the things he disagreed with but all we have is speculation.

It’s certainly implied in your posts. If you think he might have ulterior motives, you wouldn’t be defending him here.

Unless you have a severed corpus callosum. If so, apologies.
