CAD mad a shitty point (that Trump was treated poorly by federal courts) and I pointed out how bad his point was (by showing he was treated effectively the same as Comey/James), and then he went on a cope-melt.

I've seen no evidence over the course of however many years we've been on this board that this applies to you. Were you referencing another poster?

That sounds like a "you" problem, then.

The charges weren't "dropped" and the prosecutor has that power.

The initial indictment against James was dismissed (not dropped) and then the prosecution failed to get the subsequent grand jury to indict her.

Comey is more complicated as the statute of limitations may have run post-dismissal where a subsequent indictment would therefore not be legal.

It actually wasgrand juries who declined to indict for the most part. I think there was one case that the judge dismissed charges…

The level of cope is just...incredible

You may call it cope, but it appears to be factual cope.

seems there are several ways...
1) Prosecutor can drop charges
2) Jury can deny an indictment
3) Judge can toss a case

Only the prosecutor can bring charges.

My hunch is a lot of law professors and lawyers lean center left and claim they're conservative, so the percentage of law professors and lawyers leaning decidedly liberal are likely higher.

Any lawyer being honest will tell you, most lawyers out there are liberal, by far. I went to a Jesuit law school and the law professors were batshit crazy liberal.

i could have told you this.

i have quite a few friends in the legal profession and they are all ate up with TDS. i have yet to meet anyone that is remotely conservative.

Out of the MANY lawyers I know, a few are conservative. More like, "conservative." The couple that I know that are very conservative are in rural Louisiana and rural Mississippi. Myself and maybe one or two others I know in Metairie and Jefferson Parish are pretty conservative. Any lawyer in New Orleans proper that claims to be a staunch conservative is full of shite.
