So the devil is a person, and an idea? Or the devil the person, has the innate ability to control human beings? This is all making perfect sense. Glad some guy wrote this dow... glad some guy had a dream 200 years later and wrote this down.

Reminds me of a recent Crowder show where he (rightfully) critiqued the secular claim that all wars are caused by religions, then pointed out all the secular communistic regimes and their body counts.
He went on later to also claim atheism is a religion, which undermined his previous position where he tried to distance religion from extreme violence/war.
Most Christians are just like progs, they'll change their minds to whatever suits their interests in the current conversation.
