you're talking about huge losses.
Except the NFL isn't experiencing any of that right now. Money is up in the NFL
Rather than ad revenue and TV contracts which were basically locked-in pre-controversy, I would think Game Attendance and Viewing Audience would be the big determinates there. I guess as one whistles past the graveyard, it's easier to focus on scenery in the previous block.

The NFL broke itself. Trump just put the magnifying glass on it.
The NFL plays favorites. Ever since the NFL jobbed the Saints by suspending Sean Payton for a season and took away draft choices for "targeting" something every team did, I call bullshite on any pity for the NFL.
Pro football is not too different these days from pro wrestling. Sports entertainment, nothing more.

What is that based on? Do they have $2 billion in hard assets? No. That’s based on the potential revenue from future ticket sales and advertising dollars. That valuation can change very quickly.
No shite. Read the thread title, though. Oh, and since the NFL was “broken” the franchise with the 24th largest TV market sold for north of that 2 billion number and the buyer wasn’t even the highest bidder.
As I said, until there is a realization event that valuation doesnt have as much meaning but the recent sale certainly disputes the notion that the NFL is broken.

For me he didn't; I stopped watching before Trump was elected.

Any underclassman who left school early to join an NFL team can thank Donald Trump.

Jorts,
Here are a few numbers:
Average EBITDA 101 mil, avg worth 2.5 billion, ROI 4%. So you are making about four cents off every buck you have invested.
The average, thats average, EBITDA for S&P 500....22.94% in the second quarter.
Means the average company in the S&P is "spurting cash flow at nearly six times NFL" the average NFL team is but a trickle down your leg and you better get that prostate checked.....Im just sayin...
The real impact will be felt in a couple of years when they have to renegotiate the TV contract. The people being squeezed right now are the networks cause they are stuck with the contracts and their advertisers are squeezing them on the lower ratings. Dont think the networks wont leverage that to the hilt on the next go round of talks.
Bet you the networks tie the next contract to ratings, and if the owners were wise they would tie the players salaries to the same. Everyone would have skin in the game and this nonsense would end. But these selfish pricks playing today dont even want to help out the old retired sick fellas who built the league they are profiting from.

I assume they are using the term," men" very loosely?

These are dance teams not cheerleaders, Saints had male cheerleaders when the franchise began in 1967.
Male cheerleaders are very common, happy dudes on female dance teams is retarded.

Um. Most franchise owners didn’t invest 2.5B for a franchise so you might want to check that ROI...

The worst thing the NFL can do is try to become politically correct.
Especially regarding this. It's almost like no one in a position of power at the NFL knows who the average fan is -- ya know, the people that keep that organization afloat. They are only digging themselves in deeper.

Several NFL players took a knee, raised fists or did not take to the field while the National Anthem was played Thursday night before preseason games.
This right here tells you one of two things must be true
either
A) These players are severely stupid and do not realize that they are massively irritating their fan base
B) They know they are irritating their fan base and do not care
That's the bottom line here. The NFL's core fan base is old fat patriotic white guys, I have an idea, let's piss em off. How stupid do you have to be?
