Did Robert Mueller make a huge mistake indicting foreign companies?

so after all the legal angling/arguments this week it's clear that Russia is perfectly fine having the alleged conspirator-companies tried in the US. there are no stakes because they are only legal entities (organized in Russia, iirc). they are so insignificant they're not even sacrificial lambs
so now the company-defendants are entitled to full discovery, which means the DOJ/SC has to provide ALL potential evidence to them. even if the court enacts a gag order, the Defendants are still entitled to review this information. the people involved in these companies are also defendants, and as management of the companies, THEY will be legally entitled to review the evidence
hell, once they get delivered the evidence, in Russia, they can share everything with Putin and his cronies. i don't see a legal mechanism that will allow the defendant due process that won't also permit the information being transmitted to Russia. once it's there, we can't do anything about it
this seems like a huge boondoggle for Meuller. he can't really proceed and take all those risks, but he also would be mocked and criticized for dismissal...and hell then the dismissal opens up an "empty chair" defense that could lead to even more embarrassment
am i missing something?
that worthless PR stunt (indicting foreign nationals and companies that would never appear) may end up forever tarnishing the SC

Sooner or later you make a mistake when you're a constant fraud

Hell yeah he did....he wasn't expecting anyone to show up in court

Better than even odds the case is dismissed.
Mueller is not going to want to comply with discovery.

Can you imagine the outrage if Ken Starr had filled his staff with a bunch of H.W Bush donors?

Honest bob is also stupid Bob. Grossly overplayed his hand here.

and the entity in court is a company. a piece of paper
assuming the worst for the Russians, they're legit freerolling this entire thing. they have 0 risk and tons of potential rewards

they must have absolutely been feeling mega pressure to have gone through with this. i wonder if the word in the DOJ was that they'd be cleaned out within the year if they didn't have a Russian/"hacking" indictment on the board.

It is perplexing. Mueller has been at this a long time, this seems like a rookie mistake. You have to think he has final say over any and all indictments.

I just don’t understand the point of even filing the suit. It makes no sense. Just a waste of taxpayer money so bob can feel like he accomplished something

Yes it was a huge mistake.
In the pursuit of cheap participation trophies for his wall, he ignorantly grabbed “easy low hanging” fruit.
Now he’s trapped.
Option 1) Comply with discovery rules, and display the total BS weakness of your hand.
Option 2) Drop the case and display your incompetence.

I never thought about the job security and keeping thy own arse out of jail aspect to all of this. Interesting...

Correct. Even if, best case scenario, the Court finds them guilty, there is no enforcement mechanism.

But he got some headlines about Russia, which might be the pinnacle of this investigation
